The agreement between the National Academy of Opticianry’s Ophthalmic Career Progression Program and Reynolds Community College makes it possible for Reynolds to award 14 credits through advanced placement to a student who has completed all five courses of the OCPP so long as the student has satisfied the following criteria:
- Enroll in the Reynolds Opticianry program seeking the Opticianry AAS Degree;
- Submit an advanced placement portfolio within ten (10) years of completing the OCPP;
- Furnish official copy of transcript indicating OCPP satisfactory completion of all five courses within the portfolio;
- Satisfactorily complete the secondary program with a letter grade of “B” (80%) or better in the program courses.
